A Beautiful Fall Day
Last Saturday was truly a beautiful Fall day. But, it was the day I buried my beloved John.
It was a day full of emotions and sadness and happiness all at the same time. Sad that he is gone from this earthly life but happy that he is in Heaven and I will join him one day.
The Lord gave me such a peace with his passing that I still can hardly believe how calm I am. God is so good!!
There were loads of beautiful flowers....
and many old acquaintances from various facets of his life - work, church, neighbors, and friends.
As I sit here and look at all of the gorgeous flowers, I am still amazed and grateful for all of my blogging friends. Tiffany and I took a lot of the cut flowers to the hospital to the floor that John had been on so much the last three months.
Your prayers have been with us through this whole situation and I am so, so grateful for them. The prayers were definitely felt by John and I both.
And then, the cards started coming in. I've had at least fifty a day for the last week and I am so in awe that so many of my blogging friends, who I've never met, took the time to get my address and write me the sweetest notes.
I thank you so much.
I am still in the midst of all of the confusion that comes with this, but I will return soon.
Thank you again and God bless each and every one of you.

Gnome Sweet Gnome and Bella
Late last summer, I picked up these two cute little houses for next to nothing with the intention of using them in a Fairy Garden. However, it turned into a Gnome Garden.
I love this little one with the moss roof.
I went to Lowe's and bought some little plants - a few of them I only paid $1.00 for. Sometimes, they put plants on those sale racks that just need a little water and love.
We have a wonderful neighbor Betsy who takes care of Bella when I'm gone. She loves Bella so and Bella returns the favor. However, anytime Betsy is out in her front yard which is across the street - Bella stands at the gate and throws her head back and howls and howls and howls. She does that until Betsy comes over and talks to her and lets her know she is one of her favorite dogs. (Betsy has two dogs, but Bella still thinks she is the favorite! We don't tell her any different).

The Last Two Saturday Treasures!
Don't get me wrong - this isn't my last Saturday Treasure, but the last two Saturdays that I shopped, OK? I was busy helping Brenda get ready for her move and just did not get the last two weeks posted - got it?
As you can tell, I hit a motherlode of vintage lace and trim. I was just shaking because I was so excited.
I got two vintage tablecloths, a lot of crocheted potholders and doilies and many linen pieces with wide crocheted bands.
Found this darling, curvy little set of sugar and creamer and tray all in Silverplate.
A cute little Silverplate basket.
Love this intricate little Silverplate dish and oh my, that little pink plate is the sweetest thing. It is marked Bavarian china, #239 Everett Studio Hand Painted.
This darling little pitcher and/or creamer. The blue crocheted trim you see is crocheted around blue rick rack.
Some cute little pieces. The two separate pieces I think are chalk and the other one is china marked Japan.
Enjoy!

A C to go with my Wreath!
This was a fun, fast and fairly inexpensive project!
Do you remember my wreath I made last year with the flowerpots and succulents?
Well, I decided this would be a good mate to go on the front porch wall across from this wreath. Now, remember, the wreath was a project I saw on Pinterest several times. It was not an easy project. Each pot had to be wired on and it took an amazing amount of time.
But, I loved the results.
I got this large C wooden letter from JoAnn's. It was $11.95 but of course, I had a coupon.
Then, I went to Michaels and they had these little succulent artificial plants on sale for $1.00/each. I also picked up a small foilage bush on sale for $1.99.
I had moss at home already. I just started in adding the moss down in the recessed area of the wooden letter. Then I added a few springs of the foilage. And last, but not least, I added the succulents. I cut the stems completely off so that I could put hot glue on the bottom and wedge it down into the moss.
Ta Da!!
I hope you enjoy this project.
Judy
PS Thanks for all of the sweet comments about the precious grandchildren!
